Himalayan Salt – The Pink Salt

himalayan salt

Himalayan salt deposits are spread throughout the northern part of India in many countries such as India, Tibet, Nepal, Pakistan, Iran and Switzerland. These deposits have been formed since the last ice age. The main differences between this type of salt and table salt are its molecular structure and the colour of the crystal. It is the crystal colour that gives it the pinkish tint.
